YEAR OF THE BIRDS was my first collection of bird photographs, published in 2019 and now in its fourth edition. In 48 color pages, photographs are accompanied by my descriptions of different types of birds, with a focus on those in the Pacific Northwest. For this special online edition, I’ve made a handful of revisions that I hope you will enjoy.

ANIMAL, VEGETABLE, MINERAL collects thirty-six of my photographs, mostly landscapes from western parks taken over the past three years. A few birds and other animals make appearances. I made several of the pictures during a trip this fall to Rocky Mountain, Grand Tetons, and Yellowstone national parks—a glorious experience.

YOSEMITE: A STORIED LANDSCAPE is an interactive, multimedia iBook I created for an exhibition at the California Historical Society. It celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Yosemite Grant in stories, photographs, paintings, and videos about everything from the Ahwahnechee weavers to the Army’s role to the many artists and photographers inspired by its beauty. The San Francisco Chronicle called it “Gorgeous. Like having a museum exhibition at your fingertips.”
